This includes conducting research to gain a comprehensive understanding of the process, followed by its effective implementation.

Research


Research plays a critical role in the skill development process, providing a deeper understanding of its various elements. It helps to identify the specific needs and requirements of the sector. "Samadhan Samiti" conducts research to gain insights into the current landscape of the industry, which then informs the creation of skilling standards and the development of training materials tailored to the needs of artisans and trainees.

Setting Standards


Effective training imparts valuable knowledge, but the knowledge acquired must meet specific industry standards to be deemed acceptable. In alignment with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) guidelines and industry requirements, "Samadhan Samiti" develops and establishes standards for various training programs and job roles. These standards are aligned with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) levels. Trainees are certified only upon meeting the qualification criteria, which are developed by "Samadhan Samiti"in consultation with industry experts. These standards are crucial for ensuring that the skills and proficiency levels meet the expectations of the industry and the quality demanded in the finished products.

Training


Training is a core function of "Samadhan Samiti", which offers various programs for candidates through its network of NSDC-affiliated training providers. These training programs are designed to cater to three distinct groups of trainees: new entrants to the industry, existing artisans seeking skill enhancement through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program, and individuals enrolled in specific development programs under "Samadhan Samiti".

Assessment


Assessing the knowledge and skills of trained candidates is essential to determine their readiness for industry roles. "Samadhan Samiti" takes responsibility for evaluating trainees to ensure they meet the required industry standards. Upon completion of training, "Samadhan Samiti" facilitates the assessment of trainees in accordance with the qualification standards approved by the National Skills Qualifications Committee (NSQC). This process ensures that trainees are equipped with the skills and expertise needed to meet both industry and market demands.

India is a highly populous nation and ranks among the top 10 wealthiest countries globally. However, the country's large population and the unequal distribution of wealth have resulted in a significant portion of the population living in poverty. A considerable segment of India's population faces challenges such as unemployment and related issues. One of the primary reasons for this is that the Indian education system predominantly focuses on academic education rather than vocational training.

Given the size of the population, competition for jobs is intense. The academic education system offers limited career-specific options, which often do not align directly with market demands. In response to the current needs of the country, there is a growing demand for an education system that is more focused on job-specific skills. This highlights the importance of the establishment of various Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), which are dedicated to the development of specific sectors and the corresponding job roles.

With the creation of "Samadhan Samiti," specialized training programs in Entrepreneurship Development have been introduced. These programs are designed to provide trainees with targeted skills tailored to their chosen job roles. Over time, this vocational education system will help address the unemployment issue, as enrollment in these programs is aligned with Labor Market Information, ensuring relevance to industry needs.

From establishing a social organization ‘SAMADHAN’ in the year 1999,his passion to work towards entrepreneurship development has laid the foundation of Institute for Industrial Development, an Incubator with MSME, GOI.
